1. What ages does this bible curriculum cover?

We have many different levels designed for ages 5 to adult

2. Can I teach children younger than 5?

Yes, if they have a desire to learn, good motor skills and can draw basic shapes (circle, straight lines, triangles, etc) and can sit at a table, focused for 15 minutes.

3. For what denomination was this curriculum written?

We are a nondenominational organization. Grapevine Bible Studies teaches basic biblical facts and leaves interpretation to the teacher, which we call a “teacher-directed doctrinal” approach. Our curriculum is currently used in over fifteen denominations on five continents. See our Statement of Faith.

4. If we are just starting to teach the curriculum do I begin with Level 1?

No, levels are written based on ages not knowledge.  Begin at or above the recommended age level.

5. Will I miss anything if I start with an older level?

No, older levels use all the information of younger levels while adding detail and more memory work.

6. Can I teach multiple levels with this curriculum?

Yes, starting with age 7 (Level 1), you can teach up to adult using our multi-level teaching manuals.

7. Do I need a teacher manual for each level I am teaching?

Only our Beginner program has its own manual. Levels 1 and 2 have a combined teacher manual.  Levels 3 and 4 have a combined teacher manual.  The Level 3-4 teacher manual will teach Levels 1 to 4.

8. What is the difference between Beginner and Level 1?

The Beginners program focuses on the main accounts of the Bible. In Level 1, students are introduced to the Bible timeline and continue to learn about the major characters and events of the Bible.

9. What is the difference between Level 1 and Level 2?

Level 1 and 2 are very similar with Level 2 students reading a few more verses in the lessons and then learning additional Bible facts. Additional Level 2 facts:

            Old Testament facts:

*Books of the Old Testament by category

                        *Ten Commandments

                        *Twelve Sons of Jacob

            New Testament facts:

*Books of the New Testament by category

                        *The Twelve Apostles

                        *The Apostles Creed

10. What is the difference between Level 2 and Level 3?

Level 3 students read more verses than Level 2 students and learn basic biblical  geography in their Bible lessons.

11. What is the difference between Level 3 and Level 4?

Level 4 students learn where the books of the Bible fit into biblical chronology and learn how to use Bible study tools including Bible concordance, Bible dictionary and topical Bible.

12. What is the difference between Level 4 and Level 5?

Level 5 are self-directed studies and do not include stick figures. In Level 5, students dig deeper into the Bible with each lesson.

13. What is the difference between the color and black/white teacher versions?

The color version of the teacher’s manual contains the stick figures and lesson notes in color.

14. How do I know what colors to use if I buy the b/w teacher book?

We have a color guide chart.  Just click and see our Color Guide Chart.
