Where do I start with Bible Study?

Are you feeling overwhelmed when it comes to where to start with Bible study for your home, church, co-op or school? You’re not alone. With numerous options available, it can be challenging to know where to begin. At Grapevine, we understand this struggle, and that’s why we’re here to help. We believe in taking the stress out of selecting a study by offering a simple and easy three-year plan.

To get started, we recommend diving into our Topical studies, which cover specific biblical characters and events. Once you’ve explored these engaging topics, you can transition seamlessly into our Overview Studies, which provide a comprehensive understanding of the Bible. To guide you on this journey, here is the recommended three-year cycle we suggest:

  1. Year One: Topical Studies
  2. Year Two: Old Testament
  3. Year Three: New Testament

          Year 1 –  Topical Studies

Year 2 Old Testament Overview or Old Testament Bible Study Journals

Year 3 New Testament Overview

With this approach, you can gradually build your knowledge and explore the depths of the Bible in a systematic and manageable way. So, say goodbye to the overwhelming feeling of choice paralysis and let Grapevine simplify your Bible study experience.

Topical Studies at Grapevine

As you begin on your Grapevine journey, we suggest starting with one of our shorter topical studies. These studies are designed to be engaging and accessible for students across a wide age range.

Depending on the time of year you decide to start, we recommend incorporating the Birth of Jesus study around November and the Resurrection study starting in late January. These topical studies delve deeper into these specific subjects, providing a more comprehensive understanding than what is covered in the Overviews.

Overview Studies at Grapevine

Once you have completed a few topical studies, you’ll gain the confidence to dive into the Old Testament or New Testament Overviews. These studies provide a chronological overview of the Bible, exploring its major characters and events. As you progress through each level, we introduce new skills that educates and empower students to eventually study the Bible independently. Our goal is to equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to embark on your personal Bible study journey.
