Faith rarely grows when life is easy. In the Bible, we often see faith grow in the middle of uncertainty, pressure, and uncomfortable obedience. One of the clearest examples is Moses.
Moses’ story shows that faith is not built in a single moment. It grows over time as we trust God again and again—especially when the path forward feels difficult. With each step of faith forward we grow stronger.

Yet God did not ask Moses to feel comfortable with this assignment. He asked Moses to trust Him.

3. Moses Trusted God at the Red Sea
One of the most dramatic moments in Moses’ life happened when the Israelites were trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the Sea.
The people panicked.
Fear spread quickly.
There seemed to be no way forward.
But the Lord had been building Moses' faith so that he was strong enough to tell the people to stand firm and watch what God would do.
God then instructed Moses to stretch out his staff over the sea.
When Moses obeyed, God parted the Sea and the children of Israel walked through on dry ground.

Faith sometimes means taking action before we can see how God will solve the problem.
Outcome: God provided miraculous protection and deliverance through the sea.
4. Moses Followed God Through the Wilderness
After leaving Egypt, Moses led the Israelites through years of wandering in the wilderness.

There were shortages of food and water.
