Old Testament Overview for Preschool to Kindergarten

Are you looking for a way to teach the Bible to your preschool and kindergarten students? It can be overwhelming to know where to start, especially when it comes to teaching the Old Testament. But don’t worry, with Grapevine, we provide you with easy-to-prepare and engaging lessons that will help your students build a strong foundation in the Bible.

Our lessons are designed to be interactive and fun, so your students will enjoy learning about the people and events of the Old Testament. By the end of the study, your students will be able to retell the stories just by looking at their pictures.

We understand that sometimes, preschool and kindergarten students are considered too young to understand the Bible, but that’s not true. With our study, you can start your students’ faith journey early by showing them how God worked in the lives of those in the Bible and how He is working in their lives today.

Here’s how it works

Before class, review the teacher notes and pray with your students. Then, read the scripture to them and draw stick figures on the board. Discuss the passage, and have your students draw or trace stick figures in their books. Ask lesson review questions, learn the lesson memory verse, and focus on the skill.

Our study introduces students to the major characters in the Old Testament and teaches them the stories in chronological order. With 47 weekly lessons or 94 daily lessons, you have all the tools you need to teach the Bible to your students.
