Joseph Bible Study
You know God has a plan for your life, but sometimes you question this plan when times of testing and suffering come. Are you tempted to doubt God when the road of life gets difficult? If so, you will appreciate the story of Joseph in the Bible.
When he was in his teens, God showed Joseph that He had a plan for him. Within a few short days, he went from the favored son of a wealthy man in Canaan to a slave in Egypt! The story of Joseph shows us that God is with us in the good times and the bad, in times of success and failure, and He is always faithful to His Word.
You can show your students how Joseph reacted to slavery and false accusations. Did he let these events stop him? God used the difficult circumstances in his life preparing him to save thousands of people, including those who mistreated him.
By the end of this Joseph Bible study, your students will be able to draw the life of Joseph from Canaan to Egypt! Your children or student will be able to recite memory verses related to the timeline and tell you facts about the events of Joseph’s life.
During Bible study you will:
- Watch how his dad and brother’s treated him
- Understand how God told him of his future
- See what events led to his slavery
- Explore how he went from slave to national leader
- Find out how Joseph saved all of Egypt and his family
Joseph’s story is one of betrayal, forgiveness, and restoration. Help your students follow his example and not allow their circumstances to defeat them. He is an example of a man who trusted God, even during life’s darkest times, and experienced God’s faithfulness each step of the way. Joseph is a great Bible study for you and your students or children.
